At OrthoMedia, we believe every successful project begins and ends with open

and honest communication with our clients. At the start of every project, there

are always questions and concerns. Hopefully the following frequently asked

questions and answers will help. If not, or if you have additional questions,

please feel free to contact us at any time. We’re glad to help!

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The simple answer is, it depends. We do offer a standard video production package, but we also offer “a la carte” services to fit the individual needs and wants of each particular client. In any case, however, you can rest assured our pricing is straightforward and more affordable than you think! We don’t charge by the hour, and we don’t believe in fine print. Contact us any time for an estimate!

Q: Can I add videos to my existing website?

A: Almost certainly! In fact, many clients we work with are perfectly happy with their current website... they simply want to add some action, excitement and emotion to it, by adding video. We’ve worked directly with companies like OrthoSesame and Televox to add stunning videos to our clients’ web sites, with no problems to speak of. Sometimes, minor design changes are necessary to accomodate the videos, and that‘s why we always encourage our clients to check with their website people first, before beginning the video production process.

Q: Is there a monthly charge to add videos to the site?

A: Absolutely not! Once our work is done and our videos added to your site, we don’t charge any monthly hosting fees, maintenance fees, or fees of any kind.

Q: Do I need to worry about scripting? Storyboarding? Etc.?

A: No. All we'll ask you to do (apart from helping with scheduling) is send us a short list of "key points" about your practice which we'll use to craft a script for the welcome video. We'll write the script and send it to you for approval in plenty of time to make any changes before the actual shoot.

Q: Can I use the videos for something other than my website?

A: Definitely! One of the great things about the way in which we work, is

the fact that we produce your videos to be used across the digital spectrum. For instance, in addition to your website, we can upload your videos to popular social

networking sites like Youtube, Facebook, and Myspace. And, why not

play them on a loop on the TVs in your waiting area? We can do that for

you too! And use your videos to craft a killer TV commercial. The list goes on and on. Bottom line: your videos will be an incredible marketing vehicle for your practice, and we can help you take advantage of them in as many ways as possible!

Q: How long does the process take?

A: Again, it depends - but it generally takes a few weeks from start-to-finish. During the pre-production process, we consult with each client to work up a “game plan” so to speak for the project, and work out all of the details of the shoot days. Then production begins! We typically spend two days on-site, shooting video and conducting interviews. After that, we return to our offices to begin post-production... which involves editing the video, music and graphics. Once the client approves the videos, we encode them to play on the internet, and then work with the client’s website team to add the videos to the site.

Q: I’m always very busy. My staff is very busy. How much time do I need to devote to this?

A: Another great reason to choose OrthoMedia is the fact we have years of experience working in real-world orthodontics... so we know how hectic and crazy your office can get. Better still, we know how to work around that craziness to make sure you’re not distracted from the truly important tasks of running and marketing your practice. All it takes is a couple of phone calls and emails over the course of the project, and of course a couple of days in your office for the actual video shoot. Beyond that, we take care of everything for you! It’s that easy!

Q: Do you offer any kind of exclusivity?

A: Absolutely! Our exclusivity agreements are tailored for each individual client, and are generally based on a certain geographic radius over a certain amount of time. And we'll be happy to work with you to come up with an exclusivity agreement everyone can be comfortable with.

Q: Will your videos play on mobile devices like iPads and iPhones?

A: The answer is yes and no. The videos we'll place on your actual website are encoded in Flash format, which is not supported by Apple mobile products like iPhones or iPads (though they will work fine on most other devices that do support Flash). But you can still play your videos on these popular Apple devices, either by copying the video files directly to the device itself, or by uploading the videos to YouTube and viewing them using the Youtube app on your device. We are also staying on top of the development of the next generation of online video formats (such as HTML5) - which, when ready, will support videos like ours across most every type of computer and/or mobile device.
